Registration

Participation in Positive Hack Days is free of charge. You can take part in the forum as:

a CTF team;

a PHD Online HackQuest 2011 participant;

a speaker;

a hack2own contestant;

a PHD Online HackQuest 2012 contestant;

a Young School contestant;

a forum participant.

A CTF Team

Contesting teams are selected according to the results of the PHD CTF Quals qualification contest that is taking place on December, 10-11, 2011. An advance registration is required for participation.

Registration time: November, 14 - 28, 2011. Registration closed.

A PHD CTF Afterparty

On December, 12-25, everyone can take part in PHD CTF Afterparty. The contestants will have a chance to exploit myriads of real vulnerabilities and to try their hands at solving little information security tasks. Besides, they will have an opportunity to introduce changes into the plotline of the on-site CTF contests.

Registration: November, 14, 2011 - December 9, 2011. Registration closed.

Registration for Second Round: December, 27, 2011 - January 20, 2012. Registration closed.

A Speaker

The forum program is formed according to the results of a competitive selection of reports. Everyone can be a speaker: from a novice specialist to a recognized expert in information security. The main requirements are an interesting topic concerning information security, novelty and urgency of the issues under consideration, professionalism and competence.

The reports are selected in two stages:

the first stage: December 15, 2011 - February 14, 2012

the second stage: February 20, 2012 - April 16, 2012.

A hack2own Contestant

The participants are selected by a contest committee. The principal factors that are taken into consideration are: participation in similar contests and practical experience of exploiting new vulnerabilities in browsers and mobile platforms. Besides, the hack2own contest invites the winners of the PHD Online HackQuest 2011 that is taking place on December, 3-18, 2011.

Registration: February, 2012 - May, 2012.

A PHD Online HackQuest 2012 Contestant

During the forum days all comers will be able to participate in the PHD Online HackQuest 2012. The contestants will have a chance to exploit myriads of real vulnerabilities and to try their hands at solving little information security tasks. Besides, they will have an opportunity to introduce changes into the plotline of the on-site CTF contests.

Registration: February, 2012 - May, 2012.

A Young School Contestant

As a part of Positive Hack Days, leading Russian universities organize a research contest for students, graduates and young scientists. Winners of the selective competition will have an opportunity to present the results of their research to the leading international experts at the PHD forum.

Application dates: December, 15, 2011 - April, 2012.

A Forum Participant

To visit the forum, submit a duly executed application form. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the number of visitors is limited and the application form is not a guarantee for participation.

Application dates: April, 2012 - May 2012.

 

Please, note! Anyone can take part in the Positive Hack Days forum via an interactive Internet translation that will be open on the web site during the forum days.
